we cant really measure any previous party that long in the past with a cost by cost basis, it would only make sense to measure a competitor on a year on year basis not a measurement that occurred 8 years prior if your talking about hard dollar figures.
also are the labour or liberal values both their respective highest and lowest numbers or just cheery picked to paint a picture for this? for instance, on the first statistic, Labour had the lowest unemployment rate before the GFC and kept the overall unemployment tamed. during that crisis, a year to year overlook is a more substantive way of measure this.
