You raise an interesting question,"Are people born left wing or right wing". Not sure about that, but like most things of a psychological nature, it is probably a mixture of nature and nurture, in my opinion anyway.
I have often been intrigued by the question of personality types in human groups,be it the international conference table or a sewing circle. You will often find two distinct groups, one being the inflexible hard liners, the other being the more relaxed,Laissez Faire types.
In AA we used to call the first group the AA Nazis.
I definitely belong to the latter.
I reckon you will find similar divisions in politics, and religion.
One of my guiding principles in life, is to align myself with those with a sense of humour,instinctively believing those without one are dangerous.
