I hate to sound so sceptical, but I am going to need a bit more than your say so to convince me that the lightning rig is the only technically suitable rig in Australia for PTR's wells.
For example GDY have already drilled deeper than PTR needs to. What did they use?
It is my recollection that quite a few onshore oil wells in the Cooper Basin have been over 3.5 km deep??
