Not sure how you are going about processing the Online broker transfers - but I am a client of Commsec and Commsec charge a fee for off market transfers. In order to do an off-market transfer the security holder has to lodge the form directly with Commsec together with payment of the fee. I'd imagine it may be the same with E-Trade.
