for the record, I'm not liking the idea. yet it won't affect me. I don't like govt interference in the market economy yet they lack the will to due better surveillance and to adequately regulate to ensure customers and workers aren't ripped off.

but I just thought I'd ask.

RACQ and NRMA as well as other states motoring clubs have been asking, offering their advices, for decades. every govt makes their own decisions which reflect the wider view from other lobby groups. compromise is always necessary. all govts the same.
