Screwing suppliers has nothing to do with ripping off customers. Coles & Woolies consistently have lower prices than anyone except Aldi.
The issues in the supply chain are due to fragmented suppliers, they have no selling power. If similar sized companies owned 65% of the farms in Australia that supplied Coles & Woolies there wouldn't be an issue.
If Coles & Woolies were each split in two, suppliers would be better off but customers wouldn't.
