alongside your comments, I would add theres only one 'brand' for each food type. ingredients seem ok, but then so does the ingredients on brands of tomato paste, yet they all taste and feel different, texture, blend, quality of ingredients and how they're prepared for bottling/canning all make a difference.

I like to choose what I like, not just take only the one brand thats on offer.

a couple of friends that use Aldi tell me they often find interesting and unusual things they like to buy. contraptions that seem cool when seen by impulse buyers and result in them spending more than they intended.

Aldi is a false measure imo.
