i dont know where you get your info from but i work in a comm govt department, rarely if ever get a tea break, have the public in my face all day....8 hrs, if i do get a free minute to try and do some catch up my boss is over at my desk immediately getting me to call a customer, have just had to use all my long service leave/rec leave to complete a work related study/course!

trust me, life in the public service isnt what it used to be. most work damn hard.
