More than 400 federal public servants are languishing in employment limbo after they lost their jobs but were kept on the government payroll.
The public service's ''redeployment register'' has tripled since late last year, and now holds the names of 427 departmental staffers cast into bureaucratic purgatory by federal government cuts.

This story goes on to say that these bludgers can not be sacked, there is no legislation that allows them to be sacked
How can a system work where people who have no job can't be disposed of, this represents about $30 million a year in total waste.
It could be said that unions and slack governments are deliberately working to defeat the country in an undeclared war
The sooner that the bloated public service is made to realize that it's days of pigs in the trough are over, the better
