Thanks, Pinch2020, for that illuminating statement of FAA requirements. The obvious mountain of work required by SMN to meet the requirements in the Issue Paper says a great deal about the persistence (and capability) of people in the company - much to their credit.
But it also provides further proof that, when the final approval is granted, the company will be sitting behind a very wide moat. Any potential competitor will be faced with the formidable task of meeting, and demonstrating, compliance with the same lengthy list. How many Boards of Directors would be willing to commit resources from their organization for such a long time, before any expectation of a return?
The ponderous FAA bureaucracy may yet turn out to be long-term advantage for SMN!
