Pay all volunteers a modest per diem rate per day to cover incidental expenses like fuel etc.
That's fair.
Paying them $300 per day is too much imo.
$100 per day would be more than enough to cover it.
It should be used for exceptional circumstances only otherwise it's going to turn into another money pit.
