that should have read:

"Partner and GNS funding are intertwined - I cannot see how they CAN be announced separately. On their own they leave more questions than answers.

gannp, is right. Unless there is something else in the wind (or GNS exec are now having a long celebratory lunch), surely the simple form of the next GNS announcement, acknowledging approval, would have been prepared days ago and could have been released as soon as Burke made his announcement.
