*[Article entitled “Nigeria to ban mineral resources export” as reported in Guardian Newspaper 26 July 2017]
    https://guardian.ng/energy/nigeria-to-ban-mineral-resources-export/

Just trying to get clarification on this article. The article says it was a plan by the government. I can't find anything to suggest this was passed. All I have found is the minister in the story is no longer the minister.

I also found this article which suggests that solid minerals are still being exported albeit minimal value.

I admit my ignorance to the subject so I may be way off the mark but I find it amazing that the chairman would use an internet article of a suggested plan by the Nigerian government to come to the conclusion that we are unable to export any iron ore to help progress our project. You would think that someone in his position would at least liaise with one of our board members in KCM to find out how this policy has progressed rather than put all his eggs in a newspaper article from 2017 and nothing conclusive available from his source (ie. the internet) on the final ruling. His statement "We are continuing to monitor the progression of the policy" shows no evidence of monitoring anything apart from this four year old article. How much are we paying this guy ffs?
