I personally I use power Etrade, It costs around $70/month and the more buys and sells you do in the month reduces that amount.

Market depth, you can see orders being placed in real time watch the change in depth, get a view on immediate sentiment.
Then good to have a chart open. You can have a 1 minute chart with indicators, I like watching volume as the day progresses to give you an idea. Put that together with the the current depth, and the story the chart has told throughout the day to form an opinion on what's going.

you can however get free charts elsewhere, some update the following day, or you can even register for a CFD account for free and get access to basic charting. The only problem with that one is not all stocks like HTX are covered in there, mainly more mainstream stocks.
