    Wow, not much thought gone into this reply.
    1. Minimal fossil fuel burned in the process of building a dam compared to a coal plant or the equipment in a nuclear power plant and the associated protection systems.
    2. Water, it falls out of the sky. Huge flooded area?? A few acres..... What planet are you from?
    3. Looks like your list ground to a halt after just 2 points.
    4. Hydro in Oz has a record of durability and reliability and maintenance costs comparable to none.
    5. Have you any idea of the costs of maintenance of anything in or even near salt water. I guess you have shares in POW?
    6. The more remote the location, the more losses in transmitting the power. As it is, nearly 50% of the power we make is lost in transmission.
