Australia uses about 200 terawatt hours per year.
Snowy puts out (The total installed capacity is 3.772 gigawatts )(5,058,000 hp) but averages less than 1/3 of this.
about 1000 gigawatts.
% of Australias needs- 200,000 gigawatts /1000 gigawatts = 200
So when it is working (no drought) snowy puts out 1/200 of our needs.
Snowy was Australias largest construction project.
So we would need 200 more snowys to meet our needs.
I am not aware of even one site that is similar or as good as Snowy.
Please correct my arithmetic if it is wrong.
