I know, everyone hates the idea, when aussies say they are different...from other countries....
it stems from how we approach most subjects...
we have this laid back attitude.... unlike other countries, where they take to the streets, and use violence, or kill their fellow man, to achieve their goals... we use a more conservative approach to the problem
we say 'she'll be right mate'....even if it is the opposite to what we had desired, or wanted, or worked on
we may be very disappointed with the initial outcome
we have this non confrontational way of finding an answer that will work for all parties involved ...
as in a win win situation and then we go away, and figure out a way, we find an answer, so it is a win win situation
when it comes down to maintaining our family values, and committments, and sustaining our ethical and moral values, or our way of life...
we have a stoic resignation, in the face of potential adversity...
hence, that is why you are seeing the resilience, the buckling down in the face of adversity....
we will pay down our debt, in order to survive.... we will not lose our homes.... that is the very fabric of our family life
but at the same time, we will strive to do retail therapy....to support those businesses that offer real value and service but only for those retailers, who are genuine...
forget about the giants, who pay themselves exhorbitant salaries and profits
we dont like the current bankers, nor the rip off artists, as in the snakeways and moles.... most of the national retailers will take a major a huge hit in this climate.... we will support the smaller, retailers...people like us, who are modest, rather than greedy
maybe this is the version 2, of the brave new world scenario brave new world one, was an absolute disaster and a fizzer
