Purchasing Issues

Does anyone else have issues with commsec when trying to buy stocks with low depth. I tried to buy this at market today and yesterday, but they wouldn’t process the order as the next seller is too far from the most recent transaction (next seller was $2.74 and the most recent sales price was $2.6). Meaning you can sell to the current price but no one is able to purchase from the next lowest seller.
The excuse given is it wouldn’t keep an orderly market...Seems a bit strange to me and wondered if anyone had come across it before with others.
So the issue we have is pretty much no one can buy units in this company at the moment, so even if you want to buy more units the brokerages wont let you over the 1 or 2 that have been seen at the lower end, you can however put in a limit price "within reason" but anyone can sell. Seems a bit sus to me, given it was trading around 2.69 last Monday.
Spoke with ASIC and they're looking into it as it pretty much puts a ceiling on the price until we can find a way to get around it, either by people increasing buy limits, or there being more sellers in the spread.
