Granger, Yes, all bids are removed (purged) from the system on the ex-dividend date. I assume this is so buyers that had bids set and may not have been aware that the dividend had been payed aren't caught unawares when the price drops by the amount of the dividend. (just guessing though)
Bids are also purged in the same way after a trading halt.
The dividend was 3c.
