    Thanks for all that. Well, it sounds like some cats get over it, although I'm already worried about mine again. Noticed him squatting in vain a couple of times this morning :-(
    He might need the sex change op - OMG how much will that vet bill come to? He and his brother are Persians I rescued from a questionable breeder, together with their mother and another neglected adult cat who had to be euthanased as soon as the kittens were old enough, so they have some history. His brother has an autoimmune disorder - won't go into that now.

    Anyway, I thought the Purina suited them well, because the latter cat's condition had improved.

    The Hills formulas are quite expensive, especially when you have a family of 5 magpies who love the dried food too!!
