That sounds plausable wotcopper, and may explain some of the purple haze, but I still don't think it explains some of the purple colouring.
Especially on the first drill core pics where that massive sulphide looking section is and the small peice of purple to the left of that drill core about half way up.
IMO there is definately purple IN the drill core in some sections that you can see.
Whether or not it's bornite is yet to be known.
