Not sure what you mean by saying "What a classic". Are you being derogatory (i.e., implying that I am wrong), or have you done the research and come to the same conclusions as me (i.e., implying that I am right) ?

I should also point out that purple fringing is quite often talked about (i.e., it is a common complaint) in reviews of digital cameras, especially older models. It is just about always present to some degree in the images produced. The same goes for chromatic aberration, and other factors such as lens flare.

I welcome constructive comments from others on this subject, but please do the research (and follow my instructions re the ICG drill core photos) prior to posting ...
