Some passing thoughts...
1. TBR has a lot of bullion. We know that. But what seems to be missing is the motivation for having it... As in having it just sit there without any specific plans to use it...
2. TBR does the minimum in the way of investor relations/announcements/company promotion.
3. We also know that the directors of TBR are also the directors of RND and together they basically run the same tenements.
4. There also seems to be some trading by the directors that is keeping the TBR price down and some deals that RND is making in Africa that seem unwise - with the use of TBR shares to purchase tenements in a nation with a corrupt administration and by using TBR shares that are undervalued.
5. RND, though having the same tenements and directors as TBR, is struggling on the books in comparison. This makes it seems like RND and the deals they are doing have an alterior motive. As people (on Hotcopper and one close to the directors I have spoken with) suggest, the motive to keep TBR SP down is likely to do with making money for the directors (as opposed to the shareholders). How they are doing this exactly has always been a mystery to me. But now I have a suggestion... Well... speculation...
6. TBR having a low SP and being kept out of the public eye means that it can fly under the radar in terms of scrutiny. It also keeps the RND SP low as nobody is looking at the tenements as big potential producers. This would leave RND as a cheap possibility for acquisition by TBR. It seems like this would make the admin of the companies easier, pool resources and create a SP for TBR that is closer to it value ($6-$9 + RND value).
If this was to happen, then the directors would pick up RND for a great price, essentially keep the value (as the bullion they pay would go back into thier pockets) and the price would be free to reach it's 'true' value as the directors would then want this to occur...
