Lord Byron, its hard to get chart TA to work on a speculative stock, which are usually news and sentiment driven. With a blue chip, say BHP, the rules apply and a lot can be derived from chart analysis and its another tool you can use to try and predict a stocks sp. All my specs this year have behaved in the same manner. From ADN to VUL mostly rise on rumour and sell on news. The longer the lack of news flow the lower they get until they find a true base. Hwk, SYA, ESr are there now for example, until either positive or negative news. Thus is a decay in sp over weeks and sometimes months. I have abandoned my charting for those, while I still chart for bhp and nab... Anyway mate, keep plugging away, if anything it's good practice, for when we have a resource and an increasingly stable sp, more like chalices sp which is still choppy, but increasing in stability.
