Well I usually chide myself and say “Shivers! I knew I shouldn’t have sold it!!” But then I look at the positive and I was happy with that profit and I plough that money back into something else that I think I can make money on.
Ive owned way too many shares over the past 30 years, that I’ve held, and held, and thrown hard earned money into rights issues and spp‘a and held and held until the cows came home. But the cows never came home because they died down in the back paddock. Companies that at the time were even considered blue chips like Adelaide Steamship group of companies, Burns Philp, tech stocks like freaking Davnet, explorers and miners like where the hell is Joe Gutnick these days?! Yup way too much hard earned money gone because I held on too long.
