I would have thought that anyone who causes damage is required to wait at the scene if requested to? Even if it requires restraining him/her? (I'm actually asking here, not advising, as the law can be an ass......I have a mate still "inside" from the year before last for assault and deprivation of liberty......he restrained a thief who didnt want to be restrained and had to be persuaded.)
Guess it makes sense to carry your mobile so you can take piccies of these events.
