Why do you think "someone" is holding the sp down? When thw $A was at 58c the CEO told me they expected to earn $11m pa but that the rise in the $a would cost them about $1mill per 1 cent rise, meaning that at 70c the company was profitless. He later changed his tune publicly and came up with half a million per cent increase. In their favour iron ore has gone up about 15% since then in $US terms which wipes out a little over half the effect of the $us rise.
