Preaching to the converted is hardly an effective tool to further your cause. By the converted, I mean the herd already destined for the slaughter. These "research" news releases are increasingly going to have as much an impact as the proverbial "pusing on a string".

The recent barrage (incresing in temp and intensity) of desperate propaganda gives us some indication just how savage the RE industry anticipate the housing market will retrace this year.

The forward leading indicators must be quite worrying for these RE lobby / interest groups to do back-to-back megaphoning of the same rubbish over and over again.

Who is going to be next, Residex ? RP Data ? HIA ? REI ? Craig/Shane/Rory doing the 3 stooges ? May be a giant bill board that reads "NO HOUSING CRASH. PLEASE LISTEN"

If it is not chronic shortage, then it's Harold and Kumar to the rescue. I hope no more Indians get attacked because now they think the poor dudes driving taxi are now snapping up properties from Toorak to Double Bay.

All good thing comes to an end. No matter how hard they push, all this propaganda will soon be drowned out by despair, fear, panic and rude realization that myths can't be sustained forever.
