A very well constructed post, geepop. But, what is it you are saying?

Do you assert that there should be no real economy?

Do you assert that pennies come from Heaven?

Should we all just turn off our computers and go and sit under a tree?

Personally, I would like the Trade Unions to pay back that portion of union fees that I have paid over the years, that they gave to the Labor Party.

Will that happen too? I don't think so.

The facts are, that those of us who are employed or run businesses, well and truly pay more than our fair share of taxes.

Those "benefits" you refer to come from our taxes that we already paid, and in the case of Labor governments, from borrowings as well.

And I certainly don't consider myself to be a hypocrite. Why should I?

You can't be a "hypocrite" when you contribute more than you take out. Plenty more like me.
