What supports Putin’s totalitarian regime is the passive conformist citizens of Russia who embrace Putin’s propaganda because it absolves them of any responsibility and makes their lives easier to live. Alexei Navalny’s death is what it is. A timely reminder for anyone thinking they may challenge Putin’s grip on power. Although, this time, Putin may well have shot himself in the foot and made Navalny a martyr???? Well, contrary to all the garbage written on this thread by Putin propagandists, Alexei Navalny was a rarity. He has marched into history as the proudly Russian leader that Russia never got a chance to vote in. He wasn’t standing up for the West, he was standing for a better Russia. I think history will assess his importance one day and today’s lifeless Russian conformists will hang their heads in shame.
