Well I don't believe in "god from the bible", but many do, and in that book he cleansed many a nation of evil people, through various ways. Evil is evil, it wants to force itself onto you and make you do things you do not want to do. At some point a cleansing happens, whether that is god, karma or just logical human reactions to evil is up for debate.
