It's changed a lot though. Moscow is very good. Regionally it's still a mess.

I had a relative lived in Uzbekistan. Taliban some years back tried to invaded the country and turn it into towl head city with woman stoned to death if they looked the wrong way. They got crushed. The citizens where happy about that. karmakov got that country in his hands. Like god. Very corrupt but everyone is safe. They had a problem with car theft at one stage. He introduced a law saying if you got caught steeling a car you go to those jails for life. Those jails like living in a death camp. Guess what...... No more car theft.

Mate, I'm saying that democracy can not work in those countries. The extremist will take over. The Christianity, turn the other check, does not work. Forgiveness does not work. Iron fits works. They won't stop until hey take over. Not saying it's all Muslims but it's more than enough to create a huge problem. It's Allahs will.

I was in Moscow, about 10 years ago, when there was a bombing in a cinema. Mate, everyone just wanted to rip those guys head off. Everyone's happy Putin is strong enough to take care of the issue of fundamentalism and extremism. It's a real major problem well before Isis was created.

Some years ago I travelled in Uzbekistan. It seemed to be peaceful. Many women did not wear head coverings. But as a tourist, one only sees what they want you to see.

I agree that democracy will not work in many countries in the ME and elsewhere. Dictators backed up by the army seem to be the only way to keep tribal people under control.
