Source, it's called common sense, like realising when a blog is obviously fake, news sites which even the owner admits they are fake, ridiculous stories about NAZI UFOs or a video on you tube is obviously a hoax or made by a lunatic who also believes that ISS and Hubble Telescopes don't exist.

Gain news and information from a wide range of sources,apply some common sense and read lots of books so that when someone states Russian built aircraft shot down MH17 with 30mm gatling cannon, you know that's impossible without even needing to google it.

Bit like having a basic understanding of photography and why no stars are visible in photos taken during Apollo missions on the moon.
