I have criticised Trump for years. I've criticised his Krasnov alter ego, tariffs and personal behaviour . I nonetheless retained hope that Trump's cease fire proposal would work.
The cards appeared to line up for Trump because the Russian Army is exhausted and it is in no condition to continue. The nature of warfare has changed to make effective mobile offense near impossible under the drone swarms.
Putin remains delusional and has rejected Trump's proposals.
Putin wants all of his delusional grievances eliminated prior to any cease fire. His key grievance remains the break up of the Soviet Union.
Anyway, Trump tried to negotiate FOR Putin and give into many of Putin's demands but what was put on the table wasn't enough. Putin said NO.
And so Putin's attempted invasion of Ukraine will continue until it runs out of oxygen. Putin's hybrid war against Europe and the US will continue. Putin's trolls and bots will continue to post on HC.
I had hoped this madness would come to an end but it didn't.
