A 5 year old article from the midst of the GFC doesn't do much for me Birdman.
My hazy crystal ball is known not to be reliable. I do however suspect that "mantle" of "global policeman" will become more of a shared responsibility .... between the US, Europe, Russia and China. Autism spectum disorders of current leaders aside, none of these nations (or the EU group) have any interest in conflict. It is easier and cheaper for a big fish to buy out the interests of the small fish than to fight the small fish for it. And the big fish do of course know not to mess directly with other big fish.
Moving to the equatorial regions the big issue is climate change. Withing a hundred years we will see further mass migrations from the ME and other arid regions. Like it or not the Melbourne Q Society will have to live with it. Looking at the ME, climate there has been changing for the worse since the time of the Pharohs and in truth the issue of cause is now less relevant than the reality of it. CO2 emissions from human activity did not cause climater change it but they did accelerate it. Bucking the underlying trend may be impossible. Additional parts of the USA and Australia will become too arid to farm and other parts will not.
Anyway back Russian trolls ...... they need educate themselves to a much higher standard to be taken seriously.
