Re the Browse drilling program:
Could it be that they are waiting to source a suitable rig? I got the impression from some of the reports that they wanted to conduct more tests than the previous rig would allow.
Would be also interesting to see if the appraisal wells they drill this year will be suspended as future producers. If they have found the sweet spot as in where to drill, I would hope so otherwise they will end up having to drill producing wells further down the track.
Normally, once they are ready to develop a field, they will go in with a full blown production and drilling platform drilling multiple wells in different directions from a fixed location. Still big $$$ needed.
Am itching for news re Maruja-1. Does anyone know Petrobras protocol for releasing results? Is it monthly, quarterly etc.
