Nambo, I agree with you that rig selection is critical, Bob made the comment at the 2009 AGM that the next drilling rig will need to be capable of drilling production holes, i.e the intention of using the next round of appraisal holes as future production wells.
I am far from an expert in this area, but this has to do with the diameter of the well at the target depth and capability of the rig to drill something this wide at that depth.
His comment "I am sick of drilling holes that we are throwing away" clearly already looking to the future.
