Eagle, with parliament resuming to debate the ABCC bills, the possibility of a DD and the budget to be handed down in just over 3 weeks there is a lot that could see the polls go either way so I would not put too much empathises on the current polls.

But the real test will be the election campaign, the gap in the polls usually narrow around the beginning of an election campaign then a clearer picture emerges once policy announcements are made and the two leaders get a lot more exposure.

IMO that is where Turnbull will look much more credible than Shorten, Turnbull comes across as intelligent, articulate and has a bit of charisma. Bad policies aside if that is what Turnbull comes up with I don't think Shorten can match him
