Onto some other things: QAN announced that Australian Airlines in actually increasing capacity on the Asian routes within the next few months. This ties in nicely with anecdotal feedback from several industry sources suggesting that those flights have been rather full. Moreover, the same sources suggest the domestic side of the business seems to kicking along nicely with almost all flights (irrespective of time) being full (with staff getting bumped to get more customers on board). Everyone knows our call has been LONG. The foreign ownership limit report is due shortly, they are trading on bloody attractive multiples, they’ve got cash in bank of around two bill… Y’day was a large day for the stock. Looked like it was going to go pop with UBS buying two mill (they have been large Net Sellers recently) and specialling them up. CSFB was crossing large lines all day. The buyers out there are starting to emerge. IF YOU’RE NOT LONG, YOU HATE MONEY.
