We have been Aldi customers since they started in Australia and still shop there

But the quality of their products with which they built their business, has deteriorated, and many of the excellent lines they previously had are no longer stocked and have been replaced by cheaper versions.

A lot of the fruit and veg now comes packed in plastic which I will not buy, if it was meant to be in plastic it would come out of the ground like that.

Their imported products which they advertise are checked by them are not in fact checked by them, so therefore they can't guarantee the quality or safety

Their prices in general are cheaper than C or W, but their opposition suffer from the same problems with their stock.
So whereas when Aldi started they were a clear alternative to what was previously available that choice no longer applies

I have always found their service to be far superior to the other two and their staff always seem to be happy compared to the other two who do not care about the customer at all and where their staff give the impression that they would much prefer it if you weren't there shopping

We previously purchased about 80% of the supermarket stuff from Aldi now it is about 40%

    My views as a shopper
