Designing an Akida500, that has less ability than the Akida1000, was always very interesting to me. I have pondered this a few times, and my view is that one or more of our partners are interested in Akida, and wants to reduce their cost for the product. Therefore potentially we have a partner/client that has requested BRN to produce a product for their specific application. This is exciting to me, and one of many reasons to be an accumulator of stock at the 'right' price.

Something else that sparked my attention (not a biggy and just being OCD) was the presenters comment on the advantages of the 300mm wafer from the 200mm wafer (he said a 30% increase in chips on the 300mm that BRN is using).
I see the percentage area on the 300mm a lot larger, and so think loads more than an extra 30% extra chips can be manufactured. There will be additional 125% extra area on the 300mm wafer, so I'd expect double the chips from this calculation. That is a positive me thinks.
