I'm not quite sure you know what an aggressive takeover is. This happens before a company is liquidated. The reference to liquidation was purely a benchmark for the value of the assets, not the value of a company. No-one wins in a liquidation, major shareholders would likely sell beforehand, at stock price of below NAV, to enable them to receive some capital.
