Here are a few of the points I've previously highlighted...

1. Peptidream's, Ensemble's etc...expertise is in small macrocyclic peptides.

2. I believe Phylogica are working on larger cyclic peptides with their new Macrocycle Technology. Why else would Phylogica be targeting this overcrowded small macrocyclic space if they didn't have something much more powerful to present? Data will be available on the new Macrocycle Technology in the 1st Qtr 2014.

3. Pharma is interested in cyclic molecules, which can have greater stability than non-cyclic versions.

4. If successful I believe Phylogica's macrocyclic peptides will have advantages over smaller macrocycles from the likes of Ensemble and Peptidream i.e., more structure, hence more drug like molecules.

5. As the company have highlighted, first validation of the Endosomal Escape Technology (if successful, this will be the game-changer imo) then the Macrocycle Technology.

6. I also believe that there's a strong possibility that Phylogica may be interested in discovering macrocyclic CPPs and that the two technologies they are looking to validate i.e., the Endosomal Escape and the Macrocycle Technology could potentially be used together. Have a read of the review I posted which touches on this. Excellent read.

7. Peptidream have not been able to show cell penetration. No evidence in any of their data published.

If all goes to plan with these two milestones, this would certainly differentiate the company from its peers don't you think?
