With so little information to go on, it’s impossible to know.
But to date, there have been 8 different provisional applications made related to compositions and methods for treatment of monogenic neurodevelopmental disorders. These specifically relate to the target gene of Shank 3 and Phelan McDermid disorder.
My guess, based on the broad “CNS conditions” stated in the title, is that this new provisional application likely relates to a condition/ conditions beyond Phelan McDermid and beyond neurodevelopmental disorders.
For example, it could relate to a CNS monogenic neurodegenerative condition such as SMA, ALS, or Huntington’s.
We will have to wait and see….
