Desperate companies will do that to entice people to buy shares. Usually miners, and usually brokers are involved. Its dilutiive and there is often a lot of selling of the heads, depressing the share price and then it is harder to raise money next time.
Clearly we are not that desperate. The SP is being kept around 8c buy people selling above to take up the 8c shares. This activity will stop around Easter, and watch the SP after that!
