I have a question about the pricing of treatments. We see the figure “US$150,000” often used. No doubt there would be Govt subsidies to allow people access to a drug without actually paying that amount. Mostly in “First World” countries (Australia, USA, Canada etc).
But what about countries that can’t afford that? Would drug companies “scale” the price down to reflect nation’s ability to pay? This would increase market penetration but at a lower yield. But, importantly, patients would get treatment.
