Completely agree - inclusion in indexes in my previous biotech shares has been nothing but a horror story.
All it does is enable the lending of shares for those institutions that have to buy and in no way are abreast of the story.
My experience has been all negative.
The ASX is very poor at valuing biotech stocks, and the ASX 2 and 300 are just fence sitters - they don't give a shit about the shares they hold - they just had them because they are worthy of the index in price terms. They will lend them out to shooters if they can make a quid.
