we should see some data released by PYC in relation to its Phelin McDermid syndrome drug candidate (PYC-002) any day now. Not sure if this will be the internal green light to formally recognise this candidate as the 4th drug in development. Anyhow the prevalence PYC -002 is 1 in 15,000 which is far greater than VP-001 (1 in 100,000 prevalence) and supposedly worth US$5bn pa not sure if formal recognition of this drug candidate is enough to move the SP needle but it is all good grist for the mill. total pipeline of US$18bn (~A$25bn pa) would love to be a fly on the wall at PYC headquarters to see what they are cooking up next for future drug candidates. there has been previous suggestion of glaucoma being added to the pipeline which could be a significant opportunity. nice to dream anyway.
