watso has previously commented on the matter. donkey years ago , to complete year 12, and get the leaving certificate (in west australia) was an achievement... after all, mot people finished school after year 10.

standards simply have to drop, once so called universities have to attract 40% of the population - so much so, that a university degree has become useless.

donkey years ago, there was one university in west australia - and a few teachers colleges - now there are universities all over the place - all needing a high paid chancellor etc etc... the universities are simply churning out graduates, who will have trouble finding jobs relevant to their course.

there is nothing wrong with a trade
