Why should Pyne and co show up at a socialist demonstration at which socialists students pose a physical threat to the safety of not just Pyne but police, security, other students, media etc? It's fine to protest loud and long but once you start assaulting guests, you have to expect the guests to stay away. Whether it's Chris Pyne, Tony Abbott, Julie Bishop or Julia Gillard, no politician should ever be put in danger of physical assault. If you don't like them, protest away peacefully then have your say at the ballot box.
